1. Plant and harvest your first crop
Follow the opening hint and tap the marked soil to plant. When your first carrot is ready, tap it to harvest.
After the introduction, planting uses a seed and an empty plot. If you are out of seeds, the game tells you whether to get them from the garden store or a travel shop. Read the growth time shown after planting. The opening outing can make crops ready immediately, so that first harvest is not a promise that every crop grows instantly.
2. Put furniture in your house
The opening guide takes you inside to place a bed and a tea table. Drag furniture from the dock onto a free floor spot. If a spot is occupied, try another space.
3. Read the town board
Follow the hint to the town board, then return to the bell beside your harvest bed when asked. Keep following the current outing hint. It points you toward the next interaction, including the notebook when a task needs it.
If you are unsure what to do next, finish that current step before setting off on another activity. Some destinations and activities open as you progress.
What can I do beyond the first outing?
You can grow crops, gather honey, decorate your house and garden, fish, hatch companion pets, meet villagers, and travel. Pick one thing you want to work on during a visit. You do not need to do every activity at once.
At Professor Brindlecap’s hatchery, choose a warming method and follow the egg’s countdown. When it wiggles, tap to crack it and find out whether a companion hatches. Hatching a companion is not guaranteed.
